Overview

A hundred years ago, it was foretold that a child will be born who will save the realm, not three. Nineteen years after their birth, the forgotten enemy has returned, seeking the world’s power and their revenge. They have already killed the first child. The realm’s only hope lies in the two remaining prophesied, Siwo and Roucou. Will Siwo forsake her stolen riches for a land that has only given her pain and strife? Can Roucou over come years of hatred to wield the power that killed his other? Together, yet apart, their choices will decide the fate of their world. But time is short. Dark forces are at play and the enemy has eyes where they least expect.

Children of the Eternal Mother is a well-written fantasy novel based on Trinbagonian culture featuring characters with which I could easily identify. I held high expectations for this story and I was not disappointed! Keon Francis has created a world that I was easily able to immerse myself in and remain captivated by until the very end. I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who is looking for a new, engaging read.
