Jazad Ali

Jazad has spent over thirty years as an educator. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and has a Masters Degree in Education from Mount St. Vincent University, Nova Scotia, Canada. He also holds a Diploma from the Agricultural Teacher Education Centre, Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry. Jazad is a life member and former Vice-President of the Philatelic Society of Trinidad and Tobago. He is the coauthor of the postal history book ‘Machine Cancellations of Trinidad and Tobago 1923-1997’ written with Ron Wike of London, United Kingdom. Both authors received APS Writers Unit No. 30 awards at the Stamp Show 1999 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The book won a silver bronze medal at the China 1999 World Philatelic Exhibition, and a silver medal at the Stamp Show, London 2000. Jazad is a postal historian, forester, nature photographer, and a Disney fan. His nature photographs have been featured in company promotional material, calendars and tourist brochures.
